Dr. Lawhon grew up in Charleston, SC where she worked at Animal Medical Center as a technician assistant while attending college. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a major in biological sciences and a minor in psychology in 2016. She then attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2020. A year following her graduation from UGA, she was invited to rejoin AMC as their newest doctor. Her professional interest includes oncology, internal medicine, and all things feline. When not at Animal Medical Center, Dr. Lawhon enjoys trying new restaurants in town, traveling, and spending time with her rescue cat, Cersei.
