Dr. Scott Senf grew up in Youngstown, NY, a small town near Niagara Falls. He walked to school, played football, and took care of any animal he could get his hands on including horses, salamanders and everything in between. He knew from an early age that he wanted to be a veterinarian. He graduated with a degree in Microbiology from University of Tennessee, and attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1987. After vet school, Scott moved to Mt. Pleasant, SC to be close to his family and has made SC his home ever since. In 1989, he established the Animal Medical Center of Mt. Pleasant. Scott wanted to create a practice that would provide exceptional care to both the pet and the owner. This emphasis on quality care with an inventive, evidence-based practice and procedures has become the foundation on which AMC stands. He practices small animal medicine and surgery on dogs and cats. His areas of special interest include soft tissue, orthopedic surgery, laser surgery, special imaging with ultrasound and CT, pain management, and cardiology. Scott and wife, Jennifer, reside in Mt. Pleasant with their three grown daughters. They have two cats, Sally and Mo, and a yellow lab named Bess.
